Dancer, 16, hopes to be a Rockette

YORKVILLE (AP) – A teenager from suburban Chicago is set to attend training with the Rockettes in New York.

The Beacon-News in Aurora reports it will be the second summer intensive program for 16-year-old Lili Nash of Channahon. She’s a student at Benet Academy in Lisle and a dance teacher at the Yorkville Performing Arts Center.

Nash says her parents took her to see the famous Rockettes dance line at Radio City Music Hall when she was 4 years old. And that’s when she started dancing.

She can try out for the full Rockettes when she’s 18.
