Mother’s Day plant sale to help health initiatives

STERLING – CGH Health Foundation will have a flower sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the hospital’s Ryberg Auditorium, 101 E. LeFevre Road, and at the CGH Main Clinic atrium, 101 E. Miller Road.

Roses, bouquets, carnations, hanging baskets, and annuals will be available from Behrens Blumen Stuff in Rock Falls.

Owner Jim Behrens will donate 25 percent of proceeds to the foundation’s 12 health initiatives, such as Eyeglasses for Kids, Love on a Leash dog therapy, and a medication-assistance voucher program.

The foundation’s annual appeal, which has raised more than $70,000, has a $90,000 goal.
