POLO – Robert W. Wolfley, 83, of Polo, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home. He was a self-employed carpenter in Polo, and a pressman at Kable Printing in Mount Morris for 25 years until retirement.  

Robert was born Oct. 12, 1930, in Chadwick, the son of Floyd and Ada (Isenhart) Wolfley. He married Wilma Smith on July 30, 1949, in Mount Carroll.

Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Joyce (James) Mumford of Windsor and Rita J. (Fred) Buser of Byron; his sons, Robert (Ingrid) Wolfley of Sterling and David Wolfley of Polo; 10 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mary Mayberry; sister, Lillian Scott; brother-in-law, Edward Scott; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday and a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Discovery Church in Polo. Polo Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Faith Discovery Church in Polo and Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
