DIXON – A woman's body was pulled from the Rock River near Rock River Estates after calls reported a missing person and the discovery of a submerged car on Tuesday.

The woman, identified as Melva M. Meridith, 56, of Dixon, was last seen driving away from her home in Rock River Estates about 9 a.m. Tuesday in her 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, according to a news release from the Lee County Sheriff's Department.
