USA Network has its eye on summer, unveiling its summer slate of premieres – including the launch of two new dramas.
June is to be the month of returns, with “Royal Pains” making its sixth-season rollout June 10. The following night will see the return of “Suits” and “Graceland.” “Covert Affairs” will be waiting a bit longer, getting its start June 24.
Once the veterans warm things up, USA plans to unveil a pair of new dramas on July 17. “Rush,” a medical drama with a hard-partying, bad-boy doc (Tom Ellis) at its center, is set to begin its 10-episode turn at 8 p.m. It’s to be followed by the marriage drama “Satisfaction,” the network’s attempt to play outside the blue-skies line. The drama stars Matt Passmore (“The Glades”) and Stephanie Szostak as a married couple at its midpoint.
The cable network is also looking at a late-2014 debut for its event series “Dig,” from executive producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and Gideon Raff (“Homeland”). The thriller is set in Jersusalem, and stars Jason Isaacs as an FBI agent who uncovers a conspiracy while investigating the murder of an archaeologist. It also stars Anne Heche.
