Robbery at Sterling Casey's

Authorities say two men stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register

STERLING – Casey's General Store at 2806 W. Fourth St. was held up about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

An employee said two men wearing hoodies and shorts – one with a black ski mask over his face, and the other with his face obscured by clothing – entered the store and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, according to a news release from the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department.

No employees were hurt, and authorities are reviewing security camera footage.
