May activities set in Morrison

MORRISON – A variety of May activities will start Thursday in Morrison.

Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary’s annual spring tea will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway. The program is free. Morrison High School’s choral group will present songs from its spring production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Hospital dietary staff will present refreshments. Call 815-772-5510 for more information.

Informational meetings about Windsor Manor, a new assisted living facility in Morrison, will begin at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of Odell Library, 307 S. Madison St. Visit www.windsor-manor.com or call 815-772-4031 for more information or reservations.

Church Women United members will present their annual May Friendship Day at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park St. A luncheon will start the activities, with a program to follow. The theme is, “We Are in God’s Hands and We Are God’s Hands.”

Morrison Garden Club and the Whiteside County Master Gardeners will present a plant sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. until all plants are gone Saturday at the Farm Bureau building, 100 E. Knox St. Proceeds will help with beautification projects and educational programs. To donate, bring plants between 2 and 4 p.m. Friday to the Farm Bureau, or call Mary at 815-772-4075 for more information.
