Business contest program set for today in Dixon

DIXON – An informational program on the Dixon Business Competition will begin at 6:30 p.m. today at Loveland Community House, 513 W. Second St.

The competition is sponsored by Dixon Main Street and the Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce. Three winners will share $10,000 for having the best ideas and plans for starting a business in Dixon.

Applicants can sign up at www.dixonbusinesscompetition.com. Registration is due May 14. Seminars on start-up success will begin at 6 p.m. May 16, and at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 17, all at Loveland Community House.

Summary plans are due May 30. Up to 10 finalists will be picked June 16, with ideas pitched and awards presented from 7 to 9 p.m. June 25 at Loveland.
