Sept. 11 artifact arrives in Marseilles

MARSEILLES (AP) — A piece of the Pentagon from the Sept. 11 attacks will be added to a veterans' memorial in central Illinois.

The News-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1rfJeI0 ) that the stone block arrived Saturday in Marseilles. The piece arrived with an escort of motorcycle riders and veterans. It will become a permanent part of the city's Middle East Conflicts War Memorial.

The memorial with the stone will be unveiled on June 21.
