Group plans to watch film on financial crisis

The Rock River Open Forum invites the public to view and discuss the fine DVD “Inequality for All,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rock Falls Public Library.

The 90-minute film won the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and focuses on the 2007-08 financial crisis and its repercussions. It will be followed by an open discussion. Time will also be provided to determine possible actions that can be pursued.

The film features Robert Reich, former U.S. Secretary of Labor and current professor of public policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy in Berkeley, Calif. He guides the viewer to an understanding of the current situation of our economy and also offers solutions to our crisis.

Reich also is a political commentator, has published 14 books, and is chairman of Common Cause. He is very energetic and has a marvelous sense of humor. His blog is Robertreich.org.

There is no charge, and questions can be resolved by calling 815-625-4657.
