POLO – The Polo Fire Department was at a shed fire for more than 4 hours Monday morning after responding just before 5:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, the shed at 16214 W. Milledgeville Road was fully engulfed and nothing inside was salvageable, Fire Chief Tony Karrow reported.

Karrow said no one was injured in the blaze, the cause for which is so far undetermined.  He said he expected to meet with an investigator from the state fire marshal's office.

Fire crews finally cleared out of the area at 10 a.m. Monday, the chief said.
