ROCK ISLAND – Kimberly Kurtenbach Furness has performed for audiences for the past two decades in the area.

In January, Furness was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which required the removal of a sizable tumor, a complete hysterectomy, chemotherapy treatments, and many thousands of dollars in medical bills.

The performer’s friends knew it was time to give something back, which they will do with “Kim’s Kabaret: A Benefit Performance,” at 7 p.m. May 1 at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse, 1828 Third Ave.

More than two dozen performers will gather for the Kim’s Kabaret performance at Circa 21.

Tickets for Kim’s Kabaret are $25, and reservations can be made by calling the Circa 21 ticket office at 309-786-7733, ext. 2.
