Peggy L. Kuehl

MORRISON – Peggy Lee Kuehl, 76, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Morrison, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Harmony House at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. She had farmed with her husband and was a manager at Checker Oil in Morrison.

Peggy was born Sept. 12, 1937, in Morrison, the daughter of Leona Irene (Gash) and Arthur J. Baxter Jr.. She married Raymond E. Kuehl on June 10, 1956, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1997. She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Jake) Zuidema of Savannah, Mo., and Vicki Long of Clinton; one son, Steve (Michelle Starns) Kuehl of Morrison; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cathy (Dave) Monteith of Florida, Lauren (John) Tacker of Davenport, Iowa, and Pam Russell of Kansas City, Mo.; and one brother, Mike (Sue) Rousch of Blue Grass, Iowa.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Morrison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ryan Sutton, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
