ROCK FALLS – The Happy Tails Humane Society will bring live comedy to the Sauk Valley with “Raise the Woof!” – a professional standup comedy tour that works with animal shelters to raise money – at 8 p.m. May 2 at Days Inn, 2105 First Ave.

The tour features comedians who have appeared at major venues, and on HBO and Comedy Central.

Tickets are $25 and are available at www.happytailsanimalshelter.org and at Happy Tails Animal Shelter, 1408 McNeil Road. All proceeds go to the animal shelter.

If buying a table for eight for $200, attendees will receive VIP passes for an exclusive magic show before the comedy show.

The event again will feature desserts and cocktails for auction. An after-show party will feature karaoke, dancing and more. Special-rate rooms are available at Days Inn for the night of the show. Mention Happy Tails when reserving a room.

For more information, call the animal shelter at 815-626-2994.
