MOUNT CARROLL – Carroll County Crime Stoppers members asked for tips from the public Tuesday about two burglaries.

The first was at a farm on Ashby Road, where two fire hydrants, red wheel weights, ground rods, and an air compressor were among the items taken. Some later were recovered at a local scrap yard.

The second burglary is believed to have been overnight April 7, and was on Argo Fay Road in rural Thomson. Items taken from a farm building included a 4-foot oval water tank, a gray Porter Air compressor with a 5-hp motor, and a metal irrigation wheel.

Anyone with information about these or other crimes can call Crime Stoppers at 815-244-7867.
