‘Little minds’ in government fail the people

Published: Saturday, April 19, 2014 1:15 a.m. CDT

I must quote Edmund Burke in his address to the House of Commons when he said, “A great empire and little minds go ill together.”

When we combine an overbearing and overweening government with people unworthy of power and only interested in their own selves, we end up with people of small minds making big decisions to reflect well on them.

We do not end up with a government interested only in serving the citizens. We end up with a government interested only in making the citizens do what they feel is best.
