STERLING – W. Jane Ommen, 85, of Sterling, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling.

Jane was born June 13, 1928, in Alabama, the daughter of Wesley and Lula (Mott) Higginbotham. She married Lloyd Ommen on Oct. 21, 1942, in Alabama. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling.

Survivors include two daughters, Jan (John) Tarner of Barefoot Bay, Fla., and Deena (Mike) Bushaw of Dandridge, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon, with the Rev. Brandon Nelson of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling officiating. McDonald Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
