POLO – The annual plant sale of the Polo Woman’s Club will be from 8 to 10 a.m. April 26 at 105 S. Division Ave.

The entrance is on the west side of the building, off the alley. Signs will be posted. The sale is in conjunction with Polo’s All Town Rummage Sale.

A variety of sun and shade plants, both freshly-dug and mature, will be sold. Proceeds will be used to help beautify Polo locations and to purchase garden-related information.

Two garden gift baskets will be the prizes of a drawing at 10 a.m. One of the baskets is on display at First State Bank, 211 S. Division Ave., and the other is at Blackhawk Area Credit Union, 201 E. Dixon St. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. They can be purchased at the bank, credit union, or from club members. Winners need not be present to win.

Setup for the sale will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday. Anyone who would like to donate fresh plants may bring them to the site, or contact a club member. Donors are asked to identify the plants’ type, color, and partiality to sun or shade. For more information, call Jean Dawson at 815-946-3363.
