Bradley S. Cox

STERLING – Bradley S. Cox, 62, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Bradley was born May 2, 1951, in Hammond, Ind., to Virgil D. and Bernadene (Near) Cox. He married Cheryl “Diane” Jones on May 31, 1996, in Sterling. Bradley worked for more than 30 years as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who deeply loved his grandchildren. Bradley will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Diane of Rock Falls; two sons, Shaun (Lana) Cox of Phoenix and Joshua Jones of Rock Falls; one daughter, Wendy Jones of Dixon; one brother, Greg (Diane) Cox of Hardy, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Connor and Kylie Cox of Phoenix and Ethan and Evan Jones of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four uncles, and one aunt.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
