STERLING – Police on Monday arrested a Sterling woman on a charge of selling drugs.

Maureen Daniels, 48, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of Wallace Park.

In May 2013, Sterling police conducted an investigation in which Daniels sold prescription pills.

Daniels was released on a notice to appear in court.

Detective Mike Henry said the police have up to 3 years to charge someone with a felony in a drug investigation. Sometimes agencies wait to make an arrest so that they can maximize their investigations, he said.
