STERLING – Marjorie I. Goshert, 83, of Sterling, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Marjorie was born April 30, 1930, in Mulberry Grove, the daughter of David Theodore and Myrtle (Richards) Stone. She married Donald R. Goshert on Oct. 26, 1962, in Springfield. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2001. Prior to his illness, Don and Marge enjoyed Amtrak train travel all over the United States. They also enjoyed boating on the Rock River, Lake Michigan and Green Bay.

Survivors include two daughters, Ramona (Brian) Millerschoen of Sussex, Wis., and Rhonda (Richard) Newbill of Bisbee, Ariz.; two sons, Billy (Patti) Murray of Tampico and Donald L. (Vickie) Goshert of Sterling; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one great-granddaughter, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Bob Rubright officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
