Edward C. Aldridge

STERLING – Edward C. Aldridge, 38, of Sterling, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at his home. 

Born May 1, 1975, in Sandwich, he was a son of Charles and Maunita (Walters) Aldridge. He was employed at Self Help Enterprises. Edward was an avid NASCAR fan, and especially enjoyed watching Brad Keselowski race. He loved fishing, bike riding, walking the river and canal, drawing, and traveling. He was a dedicated friend, who always helped others. He especially will be missed by his beloved dog, Cocie.

Those left to honor his memory include his father and stepmother, Charles (Martha) Aldridge of Rock Falls; his fiancée, Kari CarSkaden of Sterling; special daughter, Jennifer CarSkaden of Sterling; paternal grandmother, Mary (Garnett) Stevens of Rock Falls; maternal grandmother, Mildred Walters of Sandwich; sisters, Shawnda Lynn (Stephen) Yuhas of Sheridan, Jacalynn (Tim) Bowes of Downers Grove, and Annette Skinner of Janesville, Wis.; a brother, Marc (Virginia) Juarez of Charlotte, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandfathers.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday and the funeral at 4 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
