DIXON – A new clothing store in Dixon is expected to open next week.

Label Shopper will open its sixth store in Illinois, at 1379 N. Galena Ave., on Monday or Tuesday, said Director of Stores Judy Piurowski.

The store will sell “discount brand name clothing,” according to its website, in addition to shoes and accessories for men, women and children.

Label Shopper is a division of New York-based Peter Harris Clothes. There are Label Shopper stores in Ottawa and Galesburg in Illinois and locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Ohio, among nine total states.

There are 71 Label Shopper stores nationwide.

“We’re moving out that way,” Piurowski said. “We’ve started opening stores in Indiana, Illinois and Michigan.”

The store hired two full-time employees and eight part-time employees, she said, adding that the store will receive new shipments of clothing each week.
