Sheriff race showed voters’ disapproval

Published: Saturday, April 5, 2014 1:15 a.m. CDT

This is to advise a recent writer from Polo that the sheriff of Ogle County was voted out of office by an almost two-to-one margin, due to there having been three contestants.

In my opinion, the voting indicated a great deal of dissatisfaction with the performance of the sheriff.

I hope the members of the Ogle County Board are smart enough to understand this and will start putting the taxpayers’ interest ahead of the good-old-boy, strut-around mentality they have.
