Jeanette Rose Ray

MOUNT MORRIS – Jeanette Rose Ray, 87, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Pinecrest Manor in Mount Morris.

She was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Columbia City, Ind., the daughter of Alvin and Lucile (Boschet) Ray. She attended Evangelical Free Church in Mount Morris and was a member of the Salvation Army in Warsaw, Ind. In her spare time, Jeanette was a member of the Red Hat Ladies at Pinecrest Manor and enjoyed activities at the Senior Center in Mount Morris, where she also volunteered.

She is survived by her sister, Thelma (Bill) Messer of Mount Morris; nephew, William Terry (Janice) Messer of Mount Morris; niece, Sharon Lynn Maree of North Carolina; six grand-nephews, 11 great-grand nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Pal Hart Gleason of Placerville, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James, Alvin, and Jack.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Ind. at a later date. No local services are scheduled.
