Hospice to conduct volunteer sessions

OREGON – Volunteer orientation and training classes are scheduled at Serenity Hospice & Home, 1658 S. state Route 2.

The sessions will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 and 26.

Volunteers do not need special medical skills. Tasks include helping in the office, sewing, baking, gardening, running errands, and visit with patients.

Serenity Hospice has cared for terminally-ill patients and their families for 30 years. It is a nonprofit organization certified by medicare/medicaid. The hospice's focus is to enhance the quality of life and support the patient and family through the terminal illness.
