Money Smart series to start in April

Money Smart Week, April 5-12, is a national public awareness campaign to help individuals and families better manage their personal finances.

More than 3,000 events and 130,000 participants from 45 states participate annually.

The free events are hosted by financial institutions, libraries, government agencies, media, and nonprofits. 

Money Smart Gardening: Will give tips on how simple, fun, and inexpensive gardening can be will be from 10 to 11 a.m. April 9 at the Ogle County Extension office, 421 W. Pines Road; and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 10 at Polo Public Library, 302 W. Mason St. To register, call 815-946-2713.

Supermarket Smarts: Is a guided store tour to navigate the grocery store for cost savings tips while keeping healthy food choices in mind, will be from 10 to 11 a.m. April 11 at Sullivan’s Foods, 320 Eagle Drive, Rochelle. Class size is limited to 15.

Registration is requested to ensure space and materials.
