ROCK FALLS – City Administrator Robbin Blackert will present the city budget at two public meetings scheduled for next week.

Blackert will deal with the general fund portion of the budget at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers at City Hall, 603 W. 10th St. The enterprise funds part of the budget will be presented at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers.

Service-driven enterprise funds are derived from utilities run by the city. Rock Falls provides its own electric, water and sewer services.

The general fund is used for day-to-day operations. Most of the revenues in the general fund are tax-based, with property taxes being the single largest component.

The budget will also be presented at the next City Council meeting, at 6:30 p.m. April 1 in council chambers.
