STERLING – Ann M. Heuck, 45, of Sterling, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

She was born Oct. 3, 1968, in Sterling, the daughter of Dale J. and Gloria J. (Toepfer) Heuck. She was a 1987 graduate of Sterling High School and attended Sauk Valley Community College. Ann had been employed in housekeeping at Tammerlane in Sterling. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling. She was a great lover of animals and an avid letter writer.

Surviving are her parents, Dale and Gloria; her sister, Laura (Scott) Anderson of Naperville; her niece, Emma; her nephew, Ryan; and her uncles and aunts, Warren (Carolyn) Heuck of Sterling, Laurence Toepfer of Chicago Heights, Judy (Richard) Braun of Jefferson, Wis., and Evelyn (Dominic) Falvo of Chicago Heights.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 10 to 11 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Mark Oehlert officiating. McDonald Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
