St. Mary's students get into spirit of giving

St. Mary's School sixth-grader Kiley Sanders carries a bag of food across the street to the St. Vincent DePaul Society to be distributed to the needy. Students at the school were allowed to wear St. Patrick's Day celebratory clothes in exchange for a food item or monetary donation. The fundraiser was organized by Home and School Association head Bernadette Hammes.

The sixth graders at St. Mary's in Sterling bring over 12 bags of food and $65 collected at the school on Monday to be donated to St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Students at the St. Mary's School in Sterling were allowed to wear St. Patrick's Day celebratory clothes Monday in exchange for a food item or monetary donation. The fundraiser was organized by Home and School Association head Bernadette Hammes and saw bags of food and $65 donated to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
