CHICAGO (AP) — Illinois State Police say nine people, including some children, were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries after a morning crash involving a car, a Megabus and a day care van.

ISP spokeswoman Monique Bond says all the injuries involved occupants in the day care van, which was carrying children. She didn't know how many children were hurt.

The collision took place on Interstate 94 on Chicago's South Side.

The crash involved three vehicles and happened after a car bounced off an expressway railing and hit the day care van. The bus struck the two other vehicles that were stopped.

Bond says road conditions were slippery because of a morning snow storm and says weather was likely a factor in the collision.

Megabus.com officials say they're reviewing the collision.
