Summer activities to be discussed

OREGON – A free workshop, Student Progress: What Support Does Your Child Need Over the Summer?, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. April 3 at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Fifth St.

The workshop is through Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center in Effingham.

Participants will learn about extended school year eligibility requirements, how to provide summer activities at home and in the community, resources for summer supports, and how to monitor progress year round. The presenter will be Rhonda Best.

Dinner will be provided.

Three Continuing Professional Development Units for educators and a certificate of attendance are available. Registration is due by March 27; go to www.fmptic.org/events/trainings or call 866-436-7842, ext. 107.
