AMBOY – Ruth F. Dickey, 78, of Amboy, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She worked at Conco in Mendota for 15 years before retiring.

She was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Amboy, the daughter of Albert and Francelia (Kessler) Lupton. She married Gail Dickey on Jan. 16, 1956, in Amboy.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gail “Butch” (Tammy) Dickey of Amboy, Robert Dickey of Rockford, and Ronald (Jeanne) Dickey of Amboy; one daughter, Barbara (Wayne) Schneider of Amboy; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lupton; and two sisters, Pauline Lupton and Evelyn Reiners.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy.

A memorial has been established.
