Says comment was out of line

Sheriff Varga, after attending the public forum, I was truly appalled by the very first comment made regarding the Weight Watchers group that meets at the Loveland Community Building. My mouth literally hit the floor after hearing such a negative and unprofessional comment from one of our county’s leaders.

The Weight Watchers group consists of many good people trying to consciously better themselves, and for you to make fun of them was simply wrong and unnecessary. I went into that forum with an open mind in hopes of hearing a great debate. All of my open-mindedness was completely overshadowed by that comment.

It may have seemed like a joke to you, or maybe it was simply your intent to break the ice. Whatever your train of thought was, it was completely uncalled for.

On March 18, my intentions are to vote for the best candidate. That means someone who’s going to go above and beyond for the people of the county. Making negative comments about people legitimately trying to better themselves is just downright mean and unprofessional.

This may seem like a petty complaint in the grand scheme of things, but remarks like that show a person’s true character.
