Linda K. Messer

SUGARLAND, Texas – Linda Jane Kastner Messer, 76, of Houston, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Silverado Senior Living Center in Sugarland, after a long illness. She worked as a secretary and a keypunch operator for 37 years.

Linda was born June 11, 1937, in Dixon, the daughter of Karl William and Lucy May Kastner. She married James Lee Messer on April 12, 1957. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, James (Sarah) Messer and Matthew (Gretchen Gartner) Messer; a daughter, Rebecca (Ed) Medina; two grandsons; and three brothers, Albert Kastner, Bill Kastner, and Glen Kastner.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home in Bellaire, Texas, is handling arrangements.
