Eatery profits to help local club

DIXON – Culvers of Dixon will donate 10 percent of all proceeds collected from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to the Kiwanis International’s Eliminate Project.

Eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus is a Kiwanis global campaign to save or protect millions of mothers and newborns. The disease is typically contracted through unhygienic childbirth practices. The goal of the project is to eliminate this disease by immunizing women of childbearing age, which will not only protect them, but also their future babies.

The Dixon Kiwanis Club is an Eliminate Project Model Club. Model Clubs are those clubs that have pledged to raise $750 per club members over a 5-year period. The local club has pledged $40,500.

Go to TheEliminateProject.org for more information about the program. The Dixon Kiwanis Club meets at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at KSB Hospital, 403 E. First St.
