Yard waste pickup to resume March 10 in Sterling

STERLING – The city’s curbside collection of yard waste will resume March 10.

Yard waste will be collected weekly on residents’ regularly scheduled garbage pickup day. The waste should be placed at the regular collection point before 6 a.m. on pickup day. Yard waste should be placed in 30-gallon kraft paper bags, 30-gallon garbage cans marked with an X, or wheeled garbage containers marked with an X.

Trees and branches should be cut into 4-foot pieces and tied with string or twine in bundles not to exceed 50 pounds.

Yard waste collection pamphlets are available from the city’s Community Services department.
