Milo L. Smith

INDIANAPOLIS – Milo L. Smith, 67, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at home.

He was born March 24, 1946, in Spokane, Wash., the son of Robert and Ellen Smith. Milo graduated from Tampico High School in 1964. After attending Rockford Business School, he worked at GC Electronics and later at Pioneer Insurance. He married Diana Michel of Belvidere on Dec. 22, 1995. They relocated in 1997 to the Indianapolis area, where Milo worked for Conseco as an information technology specialist. He retired from CNO Financial in 2012.

Milo is survived by his wife; sister, Maxine Smith of Whitewater, Kan.; son, Richard (Cristina) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughter, Heather (Andrew) Thiel of Carthage, N.C.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Frank Miller.

Private services will be at a later date. Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in Indianapolis is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Community Home Health Hospice Program, 9894 E. 121st St., Fishers, IN 46037.
