Local football player to compete at benefit

OREGON – Sean Considine of Byron, who played with the Baltimore Ravens during the team’s 2012 Super Bowl win, will cook March 29 at “What’s Cookin’ 2014.”

The benefit for Rock River Center will start at 5 p.m. at Oak Lane, 2735 Snyder Road.

A maximum of 35 teams of four will prepare a food item in one of four categories: appetizer, entrée, side dish, or dessert.

Sign-up is being taken for the teams; there is no charge to cook.

Admission to the event is $20; the cost includes the opportunity to taste-test the food.
