Funds available for college costs

MORRISON – Whiteside County Sheriff Kelly Wilhelmi will give a $500 scholarship to a full-time student through the Illinois Sheriff’s Association.

Applicants must be Whiteside County residents, permanent residents of the state, and enrolled in a certified state institute of higher learning, during the 2014-15 school year, excluding summer sessions. The scholarship can be applied to tuition, books, and fees.

Applications are available at www.ilsheriff.org or at the sheriff’s office, 400 N. Cherry St. They must be returned to Wilhelmi’s office, or postmarked by, March 15.
