MORRISON – Reservations open today for a July 19 trip to a matinee performance of the musical “Brigadoon” at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. The trip is sponsored by Odell Public Library Friends.

The cost is $85, which includes the theater ticket, transportation, and shopping or a tour of the Chicago Cultural Center before the show. Meals are not included.

“Brigadoon” takes place in the Scottish Highlands, where two American tourists discover a mythical village that appears every 100 years. When one of the tourists falls in love with a village girl, he must decide whether to return to his old life or to stay in Brigadoon.

Tickets are limited; reservations and checks should be made to Odell Public Library.

For details, brochures are available at the library, 307 S. Madison St., or call 815-772-772-7323.
