Model railroaders set open houses

FREEPORT – Fever River Railroad, a model railroad club owned by the Stephenson Society of Model Trainmen, will feature an operational HO-scale model railroad at its open houses.

The railroad will be active from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 8 and 9 and Oct. 4 and 5 at 1055 W. Beach St. The club house is the large tan building behind the Canadian National Yard office on Fever River Place.

Admission is $4 for adults, $1 for children, or $8 per family.
