Manlius firefighters meet for February

MANLIUS – Members of the Manlius Fire Department gathered recently at the fire hall on Maple Avenue.

Robert Reglin, president, conducted the meeting with 10 members present. A number of items were discussed. Justin Duty, assistant chief, presented Ryan Allen with a membership badge. The department received an imaging camera, and Terry Gutshall sent a thank-you letter and donation after a recent fire.

The Alexis Fire Equipment Co. will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8. Manlius firefighters are scheduled to present a safety program at 1 p.m. April 25, during prom weekend. Mary Hartz, Bob Neahring, and Reglin won attendance awards.

The next Inter Community Fyr Fyters Association meeting will be 7 p.m. March 19 in Neponset.

Jarek Shafer and Austin MacQuarrie were submitted for application membership. A vote will be taken during the 6:30 p.m. meeting March 13 at the fire hall. Steven Michlig will be the lunch committee.
