Help available to college students from foundation

CLINTON, Iowa – Applications are due by March 31 for six scholarships from Mercy Healthcare Foundation, for students who will pursue education in health-care-related fields.

The scholarships are for the 2014-15 academic year, and range from $250 to $1,500. They are:

Mercy Auxiliary Scholarship for those who seek a degree in a health-related field.

Dr. Frank O. Kershner Scholarship for nursing degree students.

Patrick and Anna McKay Scholarship for associates of Mercy Medical Center and their relatives who pursue health-related degrees.

Lori Skiff Memorial Nursing Scholarship for Mercy registered nurses who seek higher education in nursing.

N.K.L. Scholarship for those admitted to a nursing program, with funds used for education in pursuit of a nursing degree.

Ruthann Papke Scholarship, established in 2012, available to nursing degree students.
