Rock for Ogle state’s attorney

In January 2013, the Ogle County Board voted unanimously to affirm Mike Rock as state’s attorney. Mike brought to the position 20 years of legal experience, 10 of which included serving as a prosecuting attorney in Ogle County. He’s a seasoned litigator with more than 30 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials to his credit.

Mike’s expertise contributed to the sentencing of three important felony cases in Ogle County. He’s proved to be a fair and firm prosecutor, seeking the maximum punishment for violent and repeat offenders while utilizing diversion programs when appropriate.

Mike has received the endorsement of three former Ogle County sheriffs and maintains a great rapport with the deputies and officers throughout the county.

As a family man, Mike understands fiscal responsibility and carries that understanding into the office. The collection of court-ordered fines has increased by more than $90,000 over the past year, and $40,000 was returned to the county board during the last budgeting process.

Mike is to be commended on his reputation, honesty, professionalism and integrity. He willingly shares his time and talents within the community to help advance civic goals and advocacy work.

I endorse Mike Rock for Ogle County state’s attorney.
