New board, net profits announced

MINNEAPOLIS – Donaldson Co. Inc., has announced officer changes effective April 1. 

Charles J. McMurray, 60, senior vice president and chief administrative officer will retire after 33 years. McMurray has held key management roles in the company’s operations in the U.S. and Europe, and with the company’s joint venture with Caterpillar.

Tod E. Carpenter, 54, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors and promoted to chief operating officer. Thomas R. Scalf, 47, was promoted to senior vice president, engine products. Jeffrey E. Spethmann, 49, will be the new vice president of global industrial air filtration.

The company also announced its record net earnings for the second quarter. The combination of sales and operational performance should deliver FY14 EPS of between $1.65 and $1.85 per share.
