Beware of dirty politics before election

Smearing Dan Rutherford’s good reputation with unprovable insinuations just before the primary election is the rottenest of dirty politicking.

If Mr. Rutherford does not win the primary, watch the allegations fade away. We can shrug our shoulders and say, “Ah, well, that’s Illinois politics.”

But it shouldn’t be. And we, as voters, can work to change that.
