One hurt Thursday in Lee County crash

LEE COUNTY – A Dixon woman was injured Thursday in a two-vehicle crash at Kilgore and Palmyra roads in Lee County.

State police responded to the scene at 5:12 p.m. An investigation revealed that a car driven by Haley M. Mayoral, 20, of Rock Falls was westbound on Kilgore Road when Mayoral pulled into the path of an SUV driven by Timothy A. Shaw, 35, of Dixon.

A passenger in Shaw’s vehicle, Melissa R. Irwin, 33, of Dixon, was injured. She was taken to CGH Medical Center in Sterling by CGH Ambulance. Irwin’s condition was not available Friday. Mayoral was issued a citation for failure to stop or yield at an intersection.
