Della Mae Johnson

MORRISON – Della Mae Johnson, 90, of Morrison, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison. She worked at the Big Mini in Morrison.

Della was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Ustick Township, the daughter of Bernie and Cora (Tiesenga) Pruis. She married Clarence E. Johnson on April 10, 1951, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2010. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include one daughter, Arla (Bill) Korver of Maurice, Iowa; two sons, Alan Johnson of Morrison and Arnold (Tim) Johnson of Alamogordo, N.M.; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hilda Foster, one brother, Art (Betty) Pruis, and one sister-in-law, Kathryn Pruis, all of Morrison.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Jay, Fred, Dwayne, and Menno Pruis; and one brother-in-law, Raymond Foster.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, with Rich Criss, ministry coordinator at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established to Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.
