Roundup: Hawks earn title game berth

Sam Lambrigtsen tossed in 22 points to lead Oregon to a 60-31 victory against Fulton on Tuesday in a semifinal matchup at the Class 2A Oregon Regional.

The Hawks (18-11) jumped out to a 17-6 lead after the first quarter and were never threatened. Kimmie Janke added 12 points for Oregon, which will face Newman in the title game on Thursday.

Rachel Beiermann led Fulton (4-25) with seven points.

Sterling 57, IVC 45: Kiarra Harris tossed in 23 points for the Golden Warriors in a home win over the Grey Ghosts.

Also for Sterling (18-10), Gabby Sandoval had 10 points.

Hallie Shirley led IVC with 16 points.

Rochelle 49, Dixon 45: Brooke Bailey scored 23 points, but the Duchesses fell on the road to the Hubs.

Carly Hartle added 10 points for Dixon (14-11).

Abby Gould scored 16 points for Rochelle.

Prophetstown 69, Hall 38: Clare Kramer scored 17 points to lead the Prophets to an easy win over the Red Devils at the Class 2A St. Bede Regional in Peru.

Heather Strike finished with 12 points for Prophetstown, and Karlie Stafford added 10. The Prophets (27-2) will take on Riverdale (16-11), a 52-49 winner against St. Bede, in Thursday's regional final.

Women's basketball

Sauk Valley 58, Kishwaukee 54: Jordan Giddings had 21 points and four rebounds to lead the Skyhawks to a home win.

Also for Sauk Valley (18-4), Sheldeen Joseph had 17 points, while Aleena Hammelman added 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
